Meet Ellie™, the AI financial advisor inside Elenvo
Ellie is the AI financial advisor built into Elenvo. It reads the accounts you connect — bank, retirement, insurance, plus anything you enter by hand — scores your financial health out of 100 across six weighted dimensions, and returns ranked, plain-English next steps, each one showing its reasoning and its projected dollar impact.
Ellie is not a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. It is the layer that reads your whole financial picture at once — the part a spreadsheet cannot do and a quarterly review does not do often enough. This page is the short, honest version: what Ellie does, what it deliberately does not do, and what it knows about you.
What Ellie does
Six pillars, one assistant. Each goes live the moment you connect the data behind it, and the same six are what the Financial Health Score is built from — so improving a pillar moves the number.
Cash Flow
See every dollar, mapped in real time.
See every dollar in and out, mapped in real time. Click any category to drill into transactions.
Health Score
One number. The truth about your picture.
Built on retirement readiness, insurance coverage, tax efficiency, savings rate, and cash flow health — updated in real time.
Retirement Gap
Your shortfall, and a plan to close it.
Ellie calculates your shortfall and builds a closing plan. Most users discover a $400,000 gap in their first session.
Goals
Every goal, paced and funded.
Set a target — a house, a rainy-day fund, early retirement — and Ellie tracks whether you're ahead or behind, then puts your monthly surplus to work closing the gap.
Insurance
Coverage gaps, surfaced.
Coverage gap analysis across life, disability, and umbrella policies. Most users are under-insured and don't know it.
Smart Alerts
Nothing slips past the deadline.
Proactive nudges for deadlines, opportunities, and anomalies. IRA deadlines, tax-loss harvesting windows, stale balances — never missed.
What Ellie is not
The decisions Elenvo touches — a rollover, a policy, a retirement date — are expensive to get wrong. So the boundaries are stated outright here rather than left to inference.
Is Ellie a licensed financial adviser?
No. Elenvo is a technology platform — not a registered investment adviser with the SEC or any state securities regulator, not a broker-dealer registered with FINRA, not a bank, and not a tax preparation service. What Ellie produces is educational information and planning output, not personalized investment, tax, or legal advice. Elenvo does connect you with licensed human advisors, and booking a consultation with one is part of the paid product.
Can Ellie move or invest my money?
No. Bank connections run through Plaid and are read-only: Elenvo receives balance and transaction data, never your bank login credentials, and it cannot move funds, place trades, or open accounts on your behalf. Every step Ellie recommends is one you carry out yourself, at your own institution.
Can Ellie replace a human advisor?
No, and it is not built to. Ellie is fast, always available, and reads your whole picture at once — but AI output can contain errors, rest on incomplete information, or miss context only a person would catch. Elenvo asks you to verify recommendations independently and to consult a qualified professional before acting. The advisor consultations in the app exist for exactly that.
How Ellie uses your data
Ellie is only as good as what it can see, which makes what it can see worth stating precisely.
What data does Ellie read?
Only what a plan needs: the age, income, retirement balances, goals, and risk tolerance you enter, plus read-only transaction data from any bank accounts you choose to link. Bank linking is optional — it powers the cash-flow and budgeting views, and a rollover plan can be generated without it.
How is that data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit with modern TLS (1.2 and 1.3) and at rest with AES-256, and it is hosted on SOC 2 Type II audited infrastructure (Supabase/AWS). That audit covers the hosting layer — Elenvo does not hold its own report. Payments run through PCI DSS Level 1 certified Stripe, so card data never reaches Elenvo servers.
Can I delete what Ellie knows about me?
Yes. Disconnecting a bank account takes one click and removes its synced transactions with it. You can export your plan at any time and request full account deletion from your settings; deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Starting with Ellie
Elenvo is a subscription: a paid plan is what opens account linking, your Financial Health Score, and Ellie’s first pass over what it finds. The plan cards spell out which capabilities belong to which tier, and the pricing page states whether a free trial is being offered right now and how long it runs.
If you want to see the arithmetic before you see the answer, the methodology page shows exactly how the six dimensions are weighted into one score.
